What we do

Alma la Lama Theater dedicates itself to telling inspiring stories with children 1.5 - 5 years old, offering an opportunity to dive into the world of classical and modern literature.

The theatre’s repertoire offers a large selection of highly invested, funny and exciting plays. Each play is performed by a professional actress and is carefully chosen to provide the children with an educational and enjoyable experience. Lasting no more than 30 minutes, the pieces have musical and theatrical components sharing the stories with the children through the magical world of puppetry theatre. All of the plays have been inspired by children book classics and adapted to fit the form of puppetry.

Alma la Lama Theater understands and meets the children’s’ needs:

  • It offers a spectacular and colorful setting designed to create an environment of learning, growing, participating, laughing and creating a friendship between the actress and the children.

  • Handmade puppets made of soft materials (cloth and sponge) encourage children to have a gentle experience and comfortable feeling.

  • The performance takes place in the kindergarten so the children can feel at ease in their natural environment. Therefore, all that is needed is a space with a small table and two chairs.

This concept has been carefully thought out, and we have had many years of experience working with children in order to suit their specific pedagogical requirements.  It continues to prove itself through the children’s enthusiasm and anticipation for the theatre time after time. Alma la Lama Theater becomes an integral part of the children’s world.
