מטרתו של תיאטרון "עלמה ולמה" לספר סיפורים מעוררי השראה לילדים בני שנה וחצי עד חמש  ומאפשר להם לצלול לעולם הספרות הקלאסית והמודרנית. הרפרטואר של התיאטרון מציע מבחר גדול של הצגות מושקעות, מצחיקות ומרגשות. כל אחד מהמחזות מבוצע על ידי שחקנית מקצועית ונבחר בקפידה על מנת לספק לילדים חוויה בעלת ערך חינוכי ומהנה. אורכם של המחזות אינו עולה על שלושים דקות, במהלכם משולבים אלמנטים מוסיקליים ותיאטרליים המאפשרים התנסות רב-חושית, אקטיבית ומעוררת הקסמות. כל ההצגות עוצבו בהשראת קלאסיקות וספרי ילדים והותאמו במיוחד לפורמט של תיאטרון בובות.  

תיאטרון "עלמה ולמה" עונה על צרכיהם הרגשיים וההתפתחותיים של הילדים:

• It offers a spectacular and colorful setting designed to create an environment of learning, growing, participating, laughing and creating a friendship between the actress and the children.

• Handmade puppets made of soft materials (cloth and sponge) encourage children to have a gentle experience and comfortable feeling. 

• The performance takes place in the kindergarten so the children can feel at ease in their natural environment. Therefore, all that is needed is a space with a small table and two chairs. 

This concept has been carefully thought out, and we have had many years of experience working with children in order to suit their specific pedagogical requirements.  It continues to prove itself through the children’s enthusiasm and anticipation for the theatre time after time. Alma la Lama Theater becomes an integral part of the children’s world.
